The actress said she designs her friends’ homes for free.
Here’s yet another reason we would all be lucky to be friends with Blake Lively: She designs her friends’ homes—for free!
The actress and glam mother posted a photo of fabric swatches, sketches, color charts, and furniture catalogs on Instagram, calling interior design the “most fun” bad decision she’s ever made.
Lively thanked her daughters for loaning their clothes for “‘fabric’ inspo,” as well as handmade furniture brand Dmitriy & Co for providing stencils. She also credited her mom “for the sleeping disorder that keeps [her] up all night” so she can do all of this.
It’s not uncommon for stars to segue into the design sphere: Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and their stylist, Simone Harouche, are out here hunting down Borge Mogensen chairs, and Diane Keaton loves Pinterest so much she wrote a book about it.
Lively is also no stranger to the design world; she launched Preserve, a website that sought to connect shoppers to artisans, in 2014. She ended that project the following year.
In an interview Lively did with Gigi Hadid for the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the pair both said they would love to to design weddings. So who knows what the future holds for the star.
